Local Businss Spotlight
December 2003

by Amy Ujazdowski

“You can come out here and find a gift for a birthday, wedding, Christmas, or anything,” suggested Lisa Durand, owner of Lisa’s LBOE.

Lisa’s Little Bit of Everything (LBOE) is a large, two-story store filled with an array of goodies to fill any craft-lovers heart, or shopping cart. A wide variety of venders help keep a change in items all the time.

Passing the shop on the way to Cook Forrest, it houses over 100 venders from Virginia Beach, Maryland, Ohio, and local crafters of central and western Pennsylvania. Prices are reasonable seeing that a shopper can find anything including outdoor items, candles, dried flowers, holiday specialties, stained glass, photos and frames, gift baskets, quilts and other sewed items, metal work, jewelry, leather items, collectables, antiques, and much more. The shop keeps growing and growing.

Other customer friendly services provided by Lisa’s LBOE are mail orders and shipping, special orders, gift certificates, and lay-a-way with 10% of an item’s price paid.

Owner, Lisa Durand, gained ownership of Clarks-got-to-have-it Mall in summer 2002, and opened Lisa’s LBOE in August of that same year. She started as a small shop with 22 venders, proving only success over the past year. In her eyes, everything about the store is a great accomplishment, and when visiting, endless walls of dazzling enjoyment simply confirm her accusations.

Knowing the business well, Durand started as a crafter and vender herself, making gift baskets from her home and selling them at different craft shows.

The summer and holiday seasons are the busiest, especially when tourists travel the area, but the store is open year-round. Operation hours are 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. daily, closed Wednesdays, during the April thru December months. The store is also open 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., Tuesday thru Saturday in the January to April months.

Starting this year, Lisa’s LBOE will be open the Wednesday before Thanksgiving until after Christmas to give holiday shoppers an extra day of the week for last minute gift ideas.

To find Lisa’s LBOE follow Rt. 36, one and a half miles north of Brookville off I-80. For more information about the store, to purchase items, or to rent space as a vender call Lisa at (814)849-5585 or email lisaslittlebit@altel.net.
