    Default Thanksgiving traditions

Thanksgiving is right around the corner (I can't believe it!). What is your Thanksgiving tradition?

Up early to fix coffee and see Joe off for hunting, back to bed for a while longer, then up again to bake pumpkin pies, stuff the turkey, and get it in the oven. I always watch the Macy's Parade while the turkey is baking, then it's back in the kitchen to do the potatoes and everything else. I love cooking for Thanksgiving. The last couple of years it's just been me and Joe on Thanksgiving, and it's rather nice. Having family there is nice too, but it's more relaxing when it's just the two of us. Plus, there's more left overs!

Family dinner at parents house when siblings can get in from out of state, usually too much food and not enough table space!

Hunting on Thanksgiving? Not in PA. We usually stuff ourselves, go shoot some weapons, come home, drink beer, and watch football. It is a glorious holiday...

I grew up in Va and my dad and I would always hunt. Beer on Thanksgivng? The strongest thing we drink is Dr. Pepper.

Everybody has their own thing, but beer is not mine especially on holidays. It just does not feel right to me even if you were to cook with it.

That's true. He doesn't even like it when I use cooking wine in my recipes! He does eat my turkey stuffing though and that has cooking sherry in it. Uh oh, maybe I shouldn't have let the cat out of the bag on that one!
