Parent Support Group

The Arc of Jefferson County holds a monthly parent support group for parents of children with special needs. This is a time to gather and share our questions, concerns and brags with other parents in the same shoes. We are hoping to reach out to the Brookville area a little more this year and let you all know that we are here for you.

We meet the first Tuesday evening of each month from 6:30 to 8:30pm at Camp Friendship in Reynoldsville. Due to the fact that finding childcare for our kids while we meet is such a hard thing, this year we are providing activities for the children while we meet at the camp. A college student majoring in Early Education has volunteered to develop some activities for the kids to do.

If you would be interested or want more information please contact Stacy Hanzely at stacy@jcarc.org. Our next meeting will be April 6th and we will have a pizza party and movie for the kids. Please RSVP if your coming so we can plan on enough food.

Next Tuesday April 6th we are having a pizza party movie night for the kiddos and pizza and conversation for the parents.

We still need a few adults to help out with the kids if anyone is looking for a volunteer opportunity.
