    Default Why Brookville?

I get asked all the time by clients why should "I move here or there?" when I'm helping them evaluate potential home locations. I was wondering what you would tell someone if they asked you "Why should I consider moving to Brookville?"

Brookville offers all of the usual small town things; Low cost of living, low crime, decent schools, good family environment, ect.

More specifc to Brookville would be the victorian houses, the historic downtown that is easy on the eyes, access to I80 and reasonably close proximity to Pittsburgh, and nearby attractions like Cook Forest and the National Forest.

    Why would I move here?

Country living vs. city life. Grocery stores who are "mom and pop shops", fairly decent school system, low crime rate.

    Why would I leave here?

Not alot to do for families that doesn't cost you an arm and leg...my biggest complaint.

I'm a combination of your comments. I love the rural area's around Brookville as well as the country charm that permeates the entire Brookville area. The architecture of the area is fantastic as well. I also find it very convenient to be so close to I80 which really makes traveling (which I do a lot of) interstate and locally a breeze.

My wife and I have said many times that if I had to live "in town" then Brookville would be the place I'd want to live. I don't mind having to drive a distance for things, so bouncing over to Dubois or Clarion wouldn't bother me. If the job market was more welcome in the Brookville area I'd move there in a heartbeat.

It isn't just the "area" or "Town" that draws me there, it's the people. They still manage to keep the small town feel and I really like that.

Very well said. I can't agree any more with what you said.
